Almaxco PE and FR Aluminium Composite Panel Sheets

Almaxco  Aluminium Composite Panel Sheets are widely used in various industries. It is most commonly used in the Construction and Signage/Advertising Industries. Its superior flatness, strength, and lightweight make it an optimal solution for various applications.

The Light Density Polyethylene (LDPE) or a Fire Rated (FR) Cores are laminated between two aluminium skins of 0.50mm (0.020”) thickness, which form the entire Panel Sheet. The aluminium skins can be supplied in various alloy grades such as 1100, 3105 and 5005.

We can also supply our Panel Sheets in other aluminium skin thicknesses such as 0.20mm (0.008”) and 0.30mm (0.012”), which are most commonly used for Digital Printing and other Signage Applications.

The Panel Sheets are roller coated with a 70% Fluorocarbon Knyar 500/Hylar 5000 PVDF resin, Polyester XT paint or High Durable Polyester Paint, which are procured from world renowned paint suppliers such as Beckers®, PPG® & Valspar®. The back of all Panel Sheets are supplied either with a single coat of polyester primer coat, full polyester XT coating or without any coating (Mill Finish).

The LDPE and FR Panel Sheets are produced under a feed block roll injection system, in which the front and back aluminium skins are composited or sandwiched with the extruded LDPE or FR core along with Dupont® adhesive polymer film which adheres the aluminium skins to the core material.

The LDPE core is extruded from high quality LDPE pellets, while the FR core is extruded from high quality virgin pellets, which are mixed with fire retardant chemicals such as Aluminium Tri-Hydroxide and various minerals.

The Panel Sheets conform to the highest industry standards for Smoke and Flame propagation and Fire Resistance.

The coated surface of the Panel Sheets comes with a self-adhesive peel of protective film.

Aluminum Composite Panel – Ideal Signage And Construction Solutions.

Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) is an increasingly popular product used most commonly the in the Signage and Construction Industries. Besides being a decorative material, Aluminum Composite Panel has a wide range of applications such a roofing panels, sign panels, façade and cladding panels, just to name a few. Aluminium Composite Panels is also known as Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) in many parts of the world amongst industry professionals. Aluminium composite panel is a flat panel sheet which consists of three layers, two skins of aluminium which are bonded with either a   (polyethylene core/ fire rated core).  The aluminium skins are coated with either PVDF, Polyester, FEVE paint coatings.

Aluminum Composite Panel Products are very versatile and have so many usages like:

  • External cladding of buildings (building facades)
  • Roofing Panels
  • Signage & Digital Printing Panels
  • Pillar Wraps/ Column Covers
  • Corporate Identities & Retails Signs

The complete Aluminum Composite Panel is made up of 3 main layers:

  • Top Aluminum Sheet (1000, 3000, 5000 Series Alloy) – This top layer is coated with either Polyester, PVDF, FEVE or NANO Paint.
  • Polyethylene Core / Mineral FR Core- The core is extruded from Re-cycled Polyethylene resins ( PE core) or from Virgin LDPE resins mixed with Fire-retardant Minerals ( FR core)
  • Bottom Aluminum Sheet- The bottom layer is either mill finish or comes coated primer coat.

Almaxco Aluminium Composite Panels have many advantages. The advantages are:

  • Strong, Flat ( No Oil-Canning) and Rigid
  • Good Sound and Heat Insulation properties
  • Lightweight compared other substrates used for similar applications.
  • Requires very low maintenance
  • Environmentally Friendly: Contributes to LEED, are 100% Post-Consumer Re-cycleable, and made from at least 50% re-cycled content.

It is for these reason and many more that Aluminium Composite Panels have become a preferred choice of material amongst industry professionals in both the Sign and Construction industries.
